Vehicle Technician

  • Carry out safety inspections as required.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork in the correct and proper manner.
  • Repairing and servicing vehicles booked into the workshop.
  • Diagnosing faults on vehicles.
  • Carry out MoT Tests.
    - Diagnose EML (Engine Management Lights) using electronic equipment.
    - Diagnosing faults on vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
    - Strip and rebuild engines.
    - Repair and fit clutches, cam-belts and gearboxes.
  • Strip fit and replace components on vehicles.
  • Ensure all jobs run smoothly and deadlines are met.
  • Assist with the storage of vehicles on site.
  • Inform office when parts / stock needs replenishing/ordering.
  • Assist other Vehicle Technicians with repairs as and when necessary.
  • To carry out any other reasonable request given by a member of management.

Valeter

  • Ensuring vehicles are cleaned using correct equipment and to a high standard using a methodical approach.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and professional image; ensuring the valeting bay and work space is kept clean, tidy and safe.
  • Ensuring high levels of attention to detail.
  • Understanding the safety procedures, manufacturers’ instructions and warnings for different cleaning chemicals.
  • Informing line managers whenever supplies need replenishing.
  • Working efficiently on your own and as part of a small team.

Fleet Assistant

  • Check in and check out vehicles for Global Hire customers.
  • Check in vehicles from third party movements companies.
  • Accurately inspect vehicles.
  • Safe vehicle movements around site/storage areas.
  • Complete damage inspections when required.
  • Take marketing/damage photographs.
  • Reporting faults or damage to vehicles.
  • Park vehicles safely and accurately to ensure space is maximised.
  • Check quality of valets for all vehicles, take valet photos of movements cars before they leave site.
