Welcome to Yorkshire and Tour de Yorkshire race organisers, Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O) will partner with Leeds based, Global for the second year running which will see Global provide the fundamental vehicle support throughout the race which takes place 2-5 May 2018.
The continued partnership comes as no surprise following the brilliant successes from Global’s partnership to the 4th edition of the Tour de Yorkshire in 2018. As Official Vehicle Partner, Global supplied just under 70 vehicles with a combined value of £2 million. The iconic red vehicles up front accompanying the riders throughout the race, the Welcome to Yorkshire and VIP cars, the Broom wagons and judges’ vehicles – they were all provided from Global’s directly available premium stock.
Vehicle support is unquestionably essential for an event like the Tour de Yorkshire – providing everything from logistical and medical support to security and publicity. Global were selected for their commitment and ability to deliver consistent quality.
The partnership with Tour de Yorkshire is also in line with Global’s track record of supporting high-level sports and athletes throughout the region – Global have provided fleet services to Leeds Rhinos and Leeds United as Official Vehicle Partner and Sponsors for many years. Following the victory of Global’s partnership with Tour de Yorkshire, Global have been appointed Official Vehicle Sponsor to the 2019 UCI Road World Championships which will be held in Harrogate in September.
