What you will do…

  • Effective management of customer accounts, anticipating customer requirements, meeting expectations and building effective relationships in order to grow the Global rental fleet business, with a specific focus on daily rentals.
  • Proactive customer management and contact at all levels, delivering high levels of customer service and cultivating profitable long-term relationships with corporate rental customers and drivers, ensuring Global is retained as the supplier of choice by overcoming price and environmental challenges from the competition.
  • Ensuring that Global’s rental volume increases in line with the company objective whilst providing customers with outstanding service and business solutions, and to fully realise the potential of the Global’s range of products and services.

 

How you will do it…

  • Operating as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to allocated accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships and carrying out review calls/meetings in line with customer agreed SLA’s
  • Driving growth of existing accounts through greater penetration & conversion to solus deals
  • Working closely with Business Development Manager to identify wider growth opportunities through affiliated companies and company mergers and acquisitions
  • Timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives contributing to the delivery of ‘extraordinary fleet solutions’
  • Assisting with high severity requests or issues and escalations promptly and effectively
  • Winning bookings from customers and putting them into order forms for rentals to process.
  • Carrying out customer reviews as required, via conference call or visits
  • Identifying suitable guests and hosting corporate hospitality (including Leeds Rhinos and Leeds United), as required
  • Presenting account reviews to management
  • Reporting on trends within customer performance
  • Monitoring payment performance and escalating any issues promptly to minimise exposure to the business, identifying customers at risks proactively through intelligence and monitoring
  • Appraising the commercial viability of a business within allocated accounts
  • Assessing commercial impact with complex customer issues and brokering a solution
  • Presenting quotes to customers and negotiating terms
  • Identification and provision of additional value added services to customers to maximise loyalty through provision of a bespoke fleet management solution, whilst generating incremental revenue/ profit (such as vehicle livery, trackers, dash-cams, driver packs, etc)
  • Producing weekly and monthly reports on customer management information, tracking account performance against plan and forecasts
  • Contributing to efficient vehicle availability and utilisation – presentation to customers, stock levels, new models, specification changes and pricing
  • Handing over vehicles onsite to customers, and accurate completion of necessary paperwork, demonstrating excellent customer care.
  • Ongoing focus on push vehicles.
  • Completing the CRM activities and updating the database following customer calls and meetings
  • Assisting in the development of team colleagues
  • Participating in ongoing training / vehicle knowledge sessions
  • Providing support to the rentals desk with customer queries
  • Observing safe working practices at all time, carrying out duties with due care and in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required by the Company

 

What do you need to be successful…

  • Successful track record in similar business to business or account management role
  • Methodical and process driven
  • High levels of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Work well under pressure especially during peak periods
  • Good numeracy & literacy skills
  • Good IT skills, including an understanding of Microsoft packages
  • Proven communication skills to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisation skills to effectively manage and prioritise workload
